Lauri Kinnunen
Education and professional experience
I obtained a Licentiate in Physics at the University of Jyväskylä,
Finland, in 1976 majoring in physics and minoring in mathematics
and chemistry. At the same time I also worked as a researcher
at the Finnish paper machine manufacturer Valmet Oy (currently
Metso Paper Oy).
In 1974 – 1979 I worked within the industrial attaché
organisation of the Finnish Ministry of Trade and Industry. During
this period I held a position as a scientific attaché in
Los Angeles 1976 – 1979.
Since then I have been working as a freelance journalist specialising
in energy, environmental and ICT technologies. In 1987, I founded
a company of my own, Teknotietämys (TechKnowledge).
